• plans a musical commission honoring the life and work of Rose Zygmanski
• International Music Camp Scholarships: Isaac Heikkila, Hannah Kennedy.
• Junior Composers Institute Scholarships: Arianan Bachman, Zachary Bigelbach, Sarrah Bushara, Jonas Fisher, Luke Gion

2013 – 56th State Convention (31st Biennial) – Holiday Inn & Suites – Lakeville, MN – August 7 & 8, 2013

• discontinue the Adult Composers Critiques program
• $1,000 for the Past President’s Fund
• Chris Wolf performed commmsioned piano solo suite “By Any Other Name” in memory of Rose Zygmanski
• $2,700 to Junior Composers Institute for operational expenses
• Teacher Trust Grant of $500 given to Sue Quist
• New Officers Elected:  Stacey Voit, President – Mary Wescott, 1st Vice-President – Mary Kaye Rabaey, Secretary – Gwen Degner, Treasurer – Pat Steege, Historian – Cheryl Schmidt, National Board Representative

2014 – All Member Spring State Meeting – Country Inn & Suites – Albertville, MN – April 25, 2014

• Charles Backstrom – North Central Region Wendell Irish Award winner
• $1,000 to Carolyn Nelson Past Presidents scholarship fund
• Pat Steege, immediate past president, presented with Lifetime MFMC/NFMC membership
• International Music Camp scholarhips: Madison Drinen, Emily Larson
• Junior Composers Institute  scholarships: Luke Gion, Sarrah Bushara
• State Student Audition winners: Aria Stiles, Brandon Voight, Alia Gribbon, Justin Cook

2014 – All Member Summer State Meeting – Mount Carmel Chapel – Alexandria, MN – August 14, 2014

• consider $1,000 stipend for future Festival chairpersons
• Finance committee established: Gwen Degner, Cheryl Schmidt, Sarah Twedt, Mary Wescott
• Junior Composers Institute scholarships were given to five students
