MFMC Festival

Festival is a program designed by the National Federation of Music Clubs to promote study and stimulate interest in American and world music literature, and encourage each participant to reach a high standard of musical achievement.

Festival is designed for all members of the NFMC. It is not a competition but an opportunity to perform and receive evaluation.

Festivals are held throughout the State of Minnesota during the months of January, February, and March. Students may participate in a number of different solo and ensemble events to receive evaluation and earn points toward a Gold Cup Trophy award program. Any student studying with a member of the National Federation of Music Clubs is eligible to participate.

Teachers find the program assists student progress by setting of short and long-term goals. The rewards motivate preparation and the sense of accomplishment achieved by participants encourages further study.
